Meet The Team

Dr. Philip B. Conti

Clinical Director & General Dentist

Dr. Philip B. Conti was born in Everett, Massachusetts, and raised in Malden, Massachusetts. He is a graduate of Malden High School and attended Brandeis University from 1953 to 1957. He graduated with a bachelor’s in biology. During 1958 and 1962, he simultaneously attended the New England Conservatory of Music (special voice student) and Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, achieving his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. Dr. Conti worked at the Cancer Research Department at Tufts Medical Center from 1958 to 1962 as a biologist, screening steroids on a National Institute of Health Grant and co-authored many research publications.
 
Dr. Conti is a member and past president of the East Middlesex District Dental Society. He is also a member of the Massachusetts Dental Society, serving in the House of Delegates as a past Chairman of the Liaison Committee of Dental Auxiliaries. He is a lifetime member of the American Dental Association (ADA) and represented Massachusetts at ADA conferences on dental auxiliaries in Anaheim, California, and Chicago, Illinois. 
 
From 1970 to 1980, Dr. Conti was the dental instructor at the Northeast Metropolitan Regional Vocational High School for the post graduate dental assisting and dental laboratory technology programs. It was the only dental auxiliary program to be nationally accredited in it's first year.
 
Dr. Conti was voted by Reader’s Choice Best Dentist in Malden 2012 and 2013, and honorably mentioned in 2014 and 2015.
 
Dr. Conti has been married to his high school sweetheart, Ruth Dockendorff Conti, for over 60 years. They have two daughters, Laura Conti Zink and Annalise Conti, and three granddaughters, Rebecca C. Munro, Emma C. Munro and Charlotte E. Zink.
 
Outside Interests:
Since his junior high school years, Dr. Conti has had a passion for music and theater. As a tenor soloist, he has been in numerous performances including opera, operetta and in church. He has sung in England, Portugal, Ireland and Canada as well as throughout New England, Pennsylvania and New York’s Carnegie Hall.
 
Community Service:
In 1971, Dr. Conti was instrumental in starting Project Triangle, a vocational rehabilitation program for individuals with disabilities in an abandoned church in Malden with five clients and one paid staff person. He was their first President of the Board of Directors for 15 years and then was an active board member for another 20 years. Now called Triangle, Inc., it currently serves over 3,000 individuals on an annual basis with North and South Shore satellite facilities, 10 community residences and a budget of approximately $20,000,000.
 
Dr. Conti has been a member of the Board of Governors at Tufts Medical Center for over 10 years. And for over 65 years, he has been a dedicated member and current Moderator of the Maplewood Baptist Church in Malden.


Dr. Julian Lender

Owner & General Dentist

Dr. Julian Lender graduated from the Goldman School of Dentistry at Boston University, earning his second dental degree in his lifetime (the first was earned in Moscow, Russia). His mother, father and his younger sister are all dental professionals—and excellence runs in the family.
 
Always seeking to continue his education in all of the most cutting-edge dental technologies and modern techniques has made Dr. Lender an award-winning cosmetic and esthetic dentist. He is currently certified in Invisalign (clear braces), Waterlase (laser dentistry) and conscious sedation. He also has attended the world famous Las Vegas Institute of Cosmetic Dentistry (LVI). These are some of the credentials that make Dr. Lender stand out amongst his peers.
 
His unique skills and understanding of patient needs have made him the doctor of choice for many of Greater Boston’s larger cosmetic cases. In particular, his skills in regards to restoring implants have made his office a popular destination for people desperately in need of a new and beautiful smile.


Dr. Lara Haddad

Dr. Haddad was born in Jordan and is fluent in Arabic and English. She got her dental degree from Jordan University of Science and Technology. In 2018, she decided to come to the US and attended Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine to obtain her US Doctor of Dental Medicine degree.   

Dr. Haddad is passionate about providing the best dental care to her patients and making them feel at ease while in the chair.

In her spare time, she enjoys being with her family and friends, reading and traveling.


Dr. Samvel Martirosyan

General Dentist and Implantologist

Dr. Sam (Samvel) Martirosyan practices general dentistry. After receiving his  Bachelors of Science in Dental Hygiene Forsyth School of Dental Hygiene, he held  a faculty position from 2009 until 2012 at the Forsyth School of Dental Hygiene. He then continued his education at Tufts University School of Dentistry, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 2016. Upon graduating from Tufts, Dr. Martirosyan received the award for Clinical Excellence in General Dentistry. 

Dr. Martirosyan maintains professional membership in the American Dental Association and the Massachusetts Dental Society. He actively pursues high quality continuing education, learns more about cosmetic dentistry, new technology, and facial aesthetics in order to offer his patients the best in dentistry.

Dr. Martirosyan is originally from Armenia, but he has called Massachusetts home since age 10. He is fluent in English, Armenian, and Russian. Outside of the office, Dr. Martirosyan enjoys spending time with family and friends, especially with his wife, Emiliya, their two sons and daughter. He enjoys traveling, cooking, hiking, motorsport racing, and working on cars.


Dr. Martin Urban

Periodontist

Dr. Martin Urban is performing periodontal and oral surgical procedures within our practice. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from the State University of New York at Stony Brook in 1999 and then pursued three additional years of specialty training in Periodontics. He has advanced training in implant placement utilizing many of the most current implant systems. Dr. Urban is certified to perform oral conscious sedation. He is an active member of the Massachusetts Dental Society, the American Dental Association and the Academy of Osseointegration. Dr. Urban always strives to be updated on the most recent advances in dentistry by dedicating his time to continuing education in advanced gum and bone grafting surgical procedures.


Annalise Conti

Office Manager & Registered Dental Assistant

Annalise has worked in the dental field for over 35 years. Prior to becoming the office manager and dental assistant for Dr. Conti, she graduated Ohio Wesleyan University in 1988 with a BA in elementary education. After graduation, Annalise worked for the Melrose Public Schools in the special education department. In addition to being an educator, Annalise also began working alongside her father, Dr. Conti, in the dental office and developed a deep interest in dentistry. While she loved being an educator, she decided the field of dentistry is her passion and joined our practice full-time. 35 years later, Annalise is now our office manager and lead dental assistant. She is radiology and BLS/CPR certified.

Annalise lives in the area with her two daughters, Rebecca and Emma and their 5 cats.  She is the field hockey coach at the Melrose Veteran's Memorial Middle School.  


Alexa Tigges

Registered Dental Hygienist

Alexa has worked in the dental field for over 15 years. Starting out at Northeast Metropolitan Regional Vocational High School, she graduated with a dental assisting certificate and then worked as a dental assistant while pursuing her dental hygiene degree. In 2015, she received her Bachelors of Science in Dental Hygiene from Forsyth School of Dental Hygiene at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. Alexa began her hygiene career working at a practice specializing in pediatric dentistry, which also included patients with special needs of all ages.  While pediatric dentistry is very close to her heart, Alexa decided to branch out to general dentistry where she now sees patients of all ages. She is radiology and BLS/CPR certified and has her anesthesia license.

Alexa enjoys cooking and spending time with her family, friends and dog, Zoey.


Dawn Sicari

Registered Dental Hygienist

Since entering the dental field in 1994 as a high school student, Dawn has evolved into a dedicated and compassionate professional with extensive experience in providing dental treatment as a registered dental hygienist. She is enthusiastic and passionate about dental health and truly enjoys working with patients, educating them on improving their oral and overall health and wellness. Successfully working with many types of people who present with various needs takes skill and for Dawn it is a natural gift.  Her exceptional patient skills are seen in her understanding of patient needs and ability to reassure  and alleviate patient fears.  Dawn has utilized these skills in her other career, coaching high school students in multiple sports. Dawn is also a mom to two wonderful boys, Andrew and Matty.


Karen Garcia

Karen was born in Honduras and came to the US in 2004 with her family. She attended Northeast Metropolitan Regional Vocational Technical High School and graduated in 2017, where she obtained her Dental Assisting certificate. She is CPR/BLS certified and trained in ZOOM Whitening. Karen speaks Spanish and English and loves to make her patients feel at ease while in the dental chair. 

In her free time, she enjoys working out, traveling, and spending time with her family & friends.
